Get Your Seasonal Flu Vaccine Thursday

VALDOSTA - Valdosta State University community members are encouraged to get their seasonal flu shots from the Student Health Center between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22, outside Palms Dining Center.

The seasonal flu vaccine is available for students ($10) and faculty and staff ($20) with a valid ID. Heath Center Administrator Lynette Lewis said the H1N1 vaccine is expected soon, but will not be available at Thursday's event. Because it is not intended to replace the seasonal flu vaccine, immunization against both seasonal flu and H1N1 is highly encouraged.
